Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley presented $5,000 of seized drug money this week to a Jamaica Plain organization that seeks to reduce Boston gun violence. Operation Lipstick, an acronym for Ladies Involved in Putting a Stop to Inner-City Killing, is dedicated to educating girls and women on the dangers of purchasing or holding illegal firearms for others, Conley’s office said. The award is part of an annual program that distributes seized drug-trafficking money to local community betterment groups.
