The Operation LIPSTICK Ladies are huge supporters of the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute located in Dorchester, MA. THE LDB Peace Institute is one of our partner agencies in building PEACE in the City of Boston. Each May, thousands of supporters walk in the LDB Peace Institute’s Mothers Day Walk for Peace. Founded, by Tina Chery, also a mother who lost her son to urban gun violence–LIPSTICK Coordinators Kim Odom and Ruth Rollins, walk in the honor of their sons like many of the mothers. Other LIPSTICK Ladies including: Liz Miranda, Aja Jackson , Shatasha Mayo,Janice Johnson, Brenda White,Kestesha Pearson, Pam Williames, Audry Porter,Ann Wilkerson,Barbara G ,Patricia Brown, Downella Ellow , and our youngest LIPSTICK lady Danijah Hairston walked as well. It was a beautifully empowering and successful event. We hope to one day stop this epidemic, so there will be no mothers who lose their children through gun violence.

Here are some great photos from the walk, where LIPSTICK Ladies not only walked the entire route but assisted in greeting walkers at the finish line.
